Things to do in Edinburgh

Hiya, we’re (DP and I) are going to Edinburgh next month for our anniversary. We’re also going be celebrating his promotion so I want to treat him to something nice. I was thinking maybe a whiskey tasting? We’ve been before and loved it but I just wanted book soemthing a little bit special/different. Does anyone have any recommendations? And also any nice pizza places?

I second Amerone for Italian food. The Witchery was nice but overpriced for what it was. The open top bus is great. Royal Yacht is fascinating.

Good idea but practice spelling it as whisky. That's what it's called in Scotland. 'Whiskey' is Irish, Bourbon or Rye.

I clicked on this thread because I'm also going to Edinburgh soon but this was genuinely helpful for me, I've always assumed they were just used interchangeably.
