Weird eye thing

I currently have Covid, I've blown my nose several times today and every time I do, my right eye kind of pops and explodes with tears Confused, and now I'm really aching all around my eye.

What may or may not be relevant is that 20 years ago I had surgery on that eye to correct a squint.

Funnily enough I’m in the exact same position, even down to the squirt surgery. I don’t think it’s anything major…?

Probably the same reason your nose runs when you cry.

There is a little duct between the two. The drainage is normally eye to nose rather than vice versa though

I would try and avoid blowing your nose too hard, it would be better not to spread infection into the eye

It sounds like blocked/inflamed sinus's and I have heard that Omicron seems to be very sinus focused.

Try Sudafed if you don't have any contraindications with your general health/other meds. I find it's really good for reducing inflammation and nose blockage.

Thank you. I was thinking possibly sinus related. Will give Sudafed a try, thanks.
