We're considering DC2 and due to the cost of nursery fees (£1500pm for 4 days a week in London), we can't TTC until 9 months + 6 months (pregnancy time + 6 months of mat leave on decent pay before dropping to stat mat) before DC1 gets 30 free hours.
BUT looking at the next year, even that looks worrying. Taxes rising, energy prices rising, food etc. It all feels a bit grim out there.
My question is whether the media is overhyping the issue or is this going through other people's minds too? I definitely want more, but how bad will this get?
