GP registration - Solihull

We have just moved to Solihull (B91) with two kids and we are new to UK too.
Is the GP registration through Solihull healthcare partnership ? Any recommendations or points of advice please.

Just find your nearest surgery and call them and they'll tell you what you need to do. Do you have NHS numbers?

I dont have a NHS number as yet, I think this would be received once I register with GP.
However what I do have is the immigration health surcharge reference which was obtained during our visa application.
