Stuffing...do you add egg when making yours from scratch?

I have bread, onion, oregarno and a couple of sausages...do I need to add an egg to bind as I dont want an eggy taste!

Have added salt and pepper aswell but not sure on egg most recipes say egg!!!

I only add egg to sage/onion/breadcrumb stuffing. It's vital or else it's just loose crumbs.

But I don't add egg when making sausage meat stuffing. The meat binds everything together and the egg would make it too compact.

Add some extra melted butter if the mixture feels too loose with just the meat from two sausages.

I never add egg. I boil the onions in a little stock (I use marigold bouillon powder so it's easy to make a little bit; or crumble a bit off a stock cube; or just use water) and then use as much of the stock as needed to bind.

yes. soften them in the frying pan first.
