Recommend me a sofa bed!

I’m in the market for a decent sofa bed. For reasons too boring to go into I need one which will be used regularly and is comfortable both as a sofa and a bed.

The ones I have sat on so far have all been less comfortable than the equivalent sofa, presumably because of the frame? I know the bed part will never be as comfortable as a real bed but is there such a thing as a comfy one?

It needs to be as close to a full double as possible or bigger. It needs to be comfy as both. It also needs to be under, ideally, £2.5K but could probably stretch a bit over.

Hit me with your great sofa bed recommendations!

We got one from made, it has a memory foam mattress. Getting an expensive one is the way forward, ours is comfy as both a sofa and as comfortable as a bed as a proper one

Oh yes, MADE! Of course. I keep seeing the adverts and they look amazing. I will look into that. Thank you.

Any more?

A really comfortable one will be expensive. We got one in a reputable shop (this was a few years ago, not relevant where) where the bed part folds out of the bottom. TBH it's not great as either a bed or a sofa. It lives in our kids sitting room and is a very occasional bed when their friends sleep over. I find it uncomfortable in either format! I guess what I'm saying is be prepared to invest a bit if it's for pretty regular use

@N0tfinished Yes, I thought this would be the case. I wish it wasn’t but it’s cheaper than an extra bedroom 🤣
