Co codamol comes in different strengths....you can get 500 with 30 of codeine

As @kitcat15 said, the amount of codeine can differ - it’s still co-codamol at any ratio because it’s a mixture of paracetamol and codeine.

I know. OTC cocodomol is 8/500, prescription only codyradmol is 10/500 and tylex is 30/500.

You are not answering OPs question.... they have asked 'is solpadeine max the same as co codamol'..... the answer is yes..... solpadeine is merely a brand name

This isn't quite correct. Solpadeine Plus is 8/500 Solpadeine Max is 12.8/500 Co codamol - Can be different strenghts

Ahhh this explains why it works. Had it for a terrible throat infection once, worked like magic.

I'm still a little confused. I was advised by nurse (I'm under her clinic) to stop taking paracetamol and take co-codamol instead.

I take a prescribed pain med too - nurse knows all my history and she was specific about OTC Co-codamol (not prescription).
I have Solpadeine here whereas I'd have to wait until tomorrow to get OTC co-codamol.

Yes it is co-codamol.

Co-codamol is the generic drug combination, Solpadeine is a brand name. I can't touch it because of the caffeine in it, so get standard pharmacy brand OTC - it's also about half the price.

Just don't take standard paracetamol with it otherwise you'll overdose.

I cannot see caffeine listed as an ingredient? I certainly don't need any extra caffeine 😴
