Is there a new travel MLM?

Friend has started spouting on on social media about her great new travel job, all the benefits of being her own boss, work when she wants, helping people etc etc but crucially no travel website?!

All very cryptic. Wondered if anyone has seen similar?

Yes! Influencers have been doing it for a while. There’s a well known influencer/to personality and her mum who do it which is how I first heard of it.

Inteletravel has been going for a while. There is a girl on TikTok doing a series on when she was “working” for them and the batshit things that went on. It’s quite an eye opener

She hasn’t said the name at all, no idea how we ‘book’ with her. She not actually mentioned any destinations at all? Just how good her new role is and that’s she’s number one in the world for sales, and then lots of people that aren’t actually on her friends list commenting how amazing she is, has she got any jobs going? It’s all very odd. She used to be a solicitor!

I assume so keep seeing on our local selling pages on fb "are you interested in a job booking travel from home"

These "travel consultants" pop up on our local Facebook page sometimes with cryptic posts.

Rarely does anyone respond but I love it when someone points out the obvious ie. why would anyone book a holiday through some random person, with no experience, not an ABTA member, no insurance etc.

‘Travelpreneur’ 😂😂 the name alone makes me want to cringe up and die. A bit of Googling suggests they’ve been around for a while, I must have escaped this one in the past!

I know this is an old thread but searched to see if anyone else was talking about this sudden influx of travel consultants I keep seeing on my feed??!

I'm wondering how it's dodgy to the 'consultant'. I know most MLMs trade in physical goods (candles/oils/juices) so they have to buy stock but this is surely just them booking holidays through a third party?
A friend has become one and if it's bad I'd like to maybe advise against it but so far all I can think of is MLM = bad
Do they maybe have to buy a block of holidays? Then scramble to sell them off?
