Im about to have a steroid injected into my foot. How bad will it be?

I wish Id never read anything about it. The top of my foot for arthritis. If it doesnt work I will need to get it fused and I really dont want to go there. Is there anything I can do to make it less painful?

Well I went straight to the cinema and watched a very drawn out film and that was it never walked home. It’s only really day four I started going around the supermarket etc. work 12 hours on my feet tomorrow and that will be the test.
