An influencer with two small children and over 1m followers has moved house.
The house is not in Chelsea as is being reported, but in much less desirable Shepherd’s Bush.
The new house is rented, as was the previous house.
Neither house has been decorated or furnished by her but by her landlords or her sponsors.
It’s a stage set only with real life actors, and I find it very disturbing.
I have two DC about the same age as this couple. They live in house shares and feel very disheartened and inadequate because, like the Kinks song, “everyone is making it big but me.” “Everyone” meaning the people they see on social media. So unhealthy. My kids are grown up, well-adjusted, and our family is financially secure. If my kids feel bad about their circumstances, what hope is there for younger or less affluent young people?
These influencers are not making it but faking it. Are there not legal disclosures that have to be made by their agents? Why are the tabloids colluding in the deception?
