I work in an admin capacity for a very niche area of medicine. I won't say what as it's outing. I work for the same consultant for nhs and private practice and we conduct medico-legal work together.

I am extremely interested in this area of medicine. I'm fascinated by the theory and research from both a medical and legal perspective.

I've realised recently that due to my involvement with patients and the work I do, my knowledge and understanding of this area is quite in-depth. I'd like to utilise this.

For various reasons, not least of all time and money, retraining to be a doctor and then becoming a specialist doctor in this area is absolutely out of the question! Plus I'm not sure I'm cut out for examining patients physically.

It's the theory and research side I find to be my forte.

Are there are kind of jobs that any people here do that would fit the bill? I'd be willing to do a masters or similar to facilitate this.

Pharmaceutical companies have a wide variety of job roles. Lots of our clients at work are pharmaceutical, they have lots of different arms, Research, clinical trials, commercial, medical, sales, marketing etc. If you current skills are admin you could get involved in bringing drugs to market - organising licensing in different countries, creating marketing materials (for use with HCPs)
