Just friends

I had a nice evening with a long term acquaintance on Saturday. It wasn't a date, but we were both definitely behaving like single people with some flirting, although just a friendly pecknat the end of the evening.

Next day his ex has tagged him in a post making it very clear they spent the day together at his house. Which is fine, I shall step well back and leave them to it. However, he's saying they're just friends and as we are too, do I want to go out again next weekend?

I think he might believe they're keeping it friends, but she made that post because she wanted everyone to know they were together!

He's someone I enjoy spending the occasional night out with when we're at a lose end, it would be a shame to lose his friendship, but I'm really not in the market for unecessary drama.

So, do I go?

He's not worth your energy. Find someone better.

I agree, I've got no intention of giving him any energy. I'd already decided there was nothing in it romantically, but he is convenient for a fun night out now and again.
