What's your favourite dish to cook, and your favourite dish to eat?

My favourite dish to cook is probably a roast dinner with lots of side dishes.

And although I love to eat a roast my favourite thing to eat is a good ragu, so either pasta bolognese or in lasagne or cannelloni; it's the meat sauce which counts. When it is done well it really is my most favourite food.

What is yours? Just being nosey !

Favourite thing to cook - any Ottolenghi recipe, especially when it has an ingredient list as long as your arm and I know it will taste amazing at the end. Particularly the recipes from Jerusalem as they are so fiddly and cheffy but perfect taste. Also any Fuschia Dunlop chinese recipes.

Favourite thing to eat - a glass of champagne, and a whole sharing bag of kettle chips dipped in sour cream and onion dip with a spoonful of caviar on each crisp (the supermarket stuff, not the real thing!)

To eat- roast pork and sides

To cook - risotto - I find the stirring very therapeutic and I love knowing everyone will love the delicious and comforting carb/cheese fest!

To eat - something delicious, rich and French, like some kind of roast duck with a beautiful sauce and perfect vegetables.
