Reiki experience

Hi
I had a reiki session yesterday and it's left me feeling anxious. I do suggest health anxiety. The person doing the reiki said they were drawn to a certain area and asked if I had any pain there. I don't and was suprised. I said should I be worried she said you can always get checked by a dr if you have any pain. It's made me panic now like I'm looking for something. Has anyone else had these types of experiences. I did read a previous post which said they shouldn't do this.

I'm sorry you went through this.
You should not worry at all because Reiki Is Nonsense.

Thank you for your reply. I do suffer health anxiety and have been trying to do things to help but this unfortunately made it worse

I've used reiki videos on youtube and found them helpful but you have to be selective. There is a woman called Lourdes who is, I think, quite good. How much of it is placebo I cannot tell but I have noticed a calming effect. I avoid anything that goes into spirituality and the like.

Please don’t worry (or waste your money again). There is no way Reiki can work. At best it is a placebo. It is very unpleasant that someone took your money and provided nothing but worry for you.

Please don’t waste any time worrying about something someone had made up.

Reiki isn't a proven test or cure for anything.

I mean this kindly, it might be better if you sought help for your health anxiety from a therapist if you haven't already.

Why don’t you contact the person who did the reiki and tell her what you’ve told us so she can put your mind at rest or explain things to you.

Reiki works for me incidentally. When I’m getting it done and my eyes are closed I can see lights going round and round behind my eyelids. It’s the only time this happens, when I’m having some kind of healing / energy treatment.

I’d ring her tomorrow before she forgets who you are/what she felt if she has a lot of clients.

I love reiki. Maybe she felt that she was drawn to a certain chakra and she felt it was blocked. Doesn't mean ill-health, just maybe she felt that there was a lot of energy there and reiki will help unblock the chakras.
Drink lots of water and rest after your healing session.
The Honest Guys on YouTube have some wonderful guided meditations that might help you relax.
Xx

My belly always rumbles, can be quite embarrassing but it's all about the energy moving. I find it fascinating x

In my opinion, Reiki is a good technique to get rid of anxiety and depression. Reiki stimulates the immune system and helps you get rid of depression and anxiety. Holistic therapy reiki energy healing near me reiki healing OhioCentral Ohio Reiki & Kabbalah.

As a Christian, I tend to stay away from anything which involves the movement of spiritual/psychic energy. Regardless or not of whether it is a placebo, I will not have another person being a conduit of any kind of psychic energy and nor allow them to channel it into different parts of my body. I feel it's spiritually dangerous. A con at best. I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

Long before I became a Christian, a lady at work was into massage. She offered to do my feet. I said yes. She asked could she do reiki on me, and I nearly jumped off the table and told her no. I still have no idea why I reacted so viscerally when I knew next to nothing about it at the time. I would avoid.
