Interview - likely questions

Hi,

I am in the process of applying for a promotion at my work and am trying to mentally prepare for an interview, should I make it that far down the application route!

I haven't had an interview for many years, so I don't have any recent experience at all. Current job is reasonably specialist, the new position is in the same area but with management required too.

What type of questions would I likely be asked?
Why would I be good at the job?
What can I offer skills-wise?

Not sure what sector, but confidentiality often comes into play. What if someone tells you something in confidence, how do you respond to this?

Any suggestions on how you can take the business forward? Changes you’d like to see?
