Every night? How much gin? Too much for what?

Theimpossiblegirl · 01/02/2022 19:00

Drinking every night is too much. You need to give your body a break.

TeeNoG · 01/02/2022 19:03

Does the person who is drinking them think it is too much?

Waxonwaxoff0 · 01/02/2022 19:05

Every single night? Yes I do.

foreverchangingmyname · 01/02/2022 19:08

I'm usually one for thinking that a lot of mumsnet users are a bit unrealistic when it comes to drinking and what constitutes problematic but every night? Even I would say that's too much

JanuaryBlues84 · 01/02/2022 19:10

I would day it depends. Singles, doubles and “pour until it looks enough” are very different things. A 25ml shot is just less than 1 unit. Technically you’re over the government advice on 4 singles (but a lot of people are and my doctor has never told me off) but I know my “pour until it looks right” is probably more like 3 units, so I definitely limit the number of those!

I do drink but only on Friday and Saturday nights.

PurpleDaisies · 01/02/2022 20:25

How much gin is in each one? It’s really hard to see how that could possibly be a healthy level of drinking. Flowers
How long does a bottle of gin last?

Mildredew · 13/03/2022 17:49

I was thinking about that myself today. I just bought a small bottle of Bombay Safire so I'll keep you in the loop. I had a bottle of Brecon gin that lasted about 3 weeks. This won't last as long as seem to be having one large gin per night. going through a divorce with ex husband still living in house, working full time in mental health, teen daughter is anaemic and grumpy (not diet - she eats for UK) so worried about her, hence gin is just taking the edge off of an evening. I know I should replace it with step classes or something really.
