Writing cards/notelets

I am trying to be a better friend this year, and want to send little notes in the post - like we used to!

I completely failed on the Christmas card front and have been rubbish at birthdays for ages, so want to just get better at letting people know I am thinking of them.

I want to have a little stock of nice postcards or notelet type things but it seems you have to buy everything singly at the moment. Does anyone have any tips?

I'm not a traditional, floral, formal kind of person so more looking for something arty or funny etc.

No, you still get multipacks! Eg here are some in Paperchase

pinkcattydude · 31/01/2022 19:41

Try Papier they do fantastic sets

TheSpottedZebra · 31/01/2022 19:42

www.paperchase.com/en_gb/cards/occasion/notecards missed the link! JOHN Lewis have them, Sainsbury's did the other day, Ebay and etsy and Amazon will have a ton.

Apologies if I've misunderstood and that's not what you meant.

HelloDulling · 31/01/2022 19:42

Papier make lovely ones.

Have you taken a photo that you particularly like? My DDs had a photo that I took on holiday turned into postcards through Aldi printing.

I used to be rubbish about cards. Now I have set up my address book in Moonpig.com and set a reminder for birthdays, anniversaries etc.

Now, I get an email days in advance, I can set out many days in advance, to remind me that it's someone's birthday etc.

Brilliant.

Great ideas, thank you!

Feel a bit bad that I found it so hard to find some now....Grin

It's a real shame the Paperchase ones mostly say 'thank you' on, some of them would have been perfect but without the type!

I love the V&A ones and the Wrendale ones too.

Try any gallery or museum (National, Tate, V&A, Royal Academy) - they all have online shops, lovely cards etc AND you are supporting a gallery that needs the money.

I got these from an ETSY seller. There are other designs too.

Problem is, I love them so much that I want to keep them instead of send them!

Amazon have some lovely packs of cards (birthday / mixed / thank you etc), all made of recycled card and paper, with no plastic packaging. The company is called Lazy Panda.

Oh I used to love sending little notelets to people! Do pen pals still exist? For children I mean? I used to have a couple that I think I found in an animal magazine!

BonnesVacances · 02/02/2022 11:39

Whistlefish have some lovely ones. Have a look here whistlefish.com/search?q=notelets&type=product

CarbonelCat · 02/02/2022 22:59

Ah @BonnesVacances - I love the tins!

@sofakingcool - I had penfriends too! Our whole class used to write to a mirror class elsewhere. I wonder if they still do that in school?
