If I tag my friend on Facebook will her Facebook friends see it?

Basically my ex boyfriend who wasn't nice to me at all is on my best friends Facebook.
She has no issues with him and I wouldn't ever ask her to remove him.

Anyway on Saturday night me and her went out and yesterday morning I uploaded the pics and tagged her in them.
Will my ex have seen them?
I don't want him to know anything about me at all.
If I block him now will he not be able to see the post I tagged her in?

He probably will be able to see them, unless you block him. I'm not sure if when you upload you can change the settings to friends only, and not friends of friends, but tagging her might change that to be how her settings are.

Yes, any friends of people tagged will be able to see the photos. He won't if you block him, but he may have already seen them anyway

He wont be able to see if you have blocked him.

If you’ve tagged her all her friends will see the photos unless she’s set up her own privacy settings to avoid this happening.

If you go to settings - privacy on Facebook there’s a bit about who can see what. You can select who does / does not see your posts.

you can change the settings so that only your friends can see what you post and not friends of friends.
