Daughter has a rash. Started on face near ears and on cheeks, red and dotty. She now cant sleep and rash is now on hands and arms- round, lumps.
No temp, says she feels fine, has got a bit of a cold. Will lft in morning. Any ideas (apart from covid!)
Also would you keep her off school? I think I probably will.....

Have you done the glass test?

I'd keep her off school until you know what it is

Picklesandbeans · 31/01/2022 00:52

Do you have anything like piryton (anti histamine) in house.
Could be an allergic reaction.
Did she eat anything different than her norm.
Did you change washing powder.
If you haven't any antihistamine try some paracetamol.

Thanks, just given her paracetamol, temp is 37.2. The small rash on face has been there since afternoon but not eaten anything different and not changed washing powder. I hate it when you dont know what it is!
I've been googling but so hard to match the rash! Photos but not very good ones!

Oh no !
Did you try antihistamine?

Maverick66 · 31/01/2022 08:18

Relief! Whilst testing positive is a nuisance at least you know what it is .
Hopefully dd won't be too badly affected.

Yes I felt it was covid- we have a few cases in house. Yes given her antihistamine too.
