Weaning worries

Hi, I’m looking for some advice / reassurance. My son will be 1 year old in a few weeks but still isn’t eating “proper” solids ie non-puréed food. I’m worried he’s really behind and I don’t know how to encourage him.
At the moment I make him purées (lumpy/thick) to take to his nanas / nursery as I’m back at work full time. He loves a yoghurt or a fruit pouch so they are always my backup for if he won’t eat what I’ve made (which is often, unless he’s at nursery then he’s very good for them).
He’ll hold a rich tea finger biscuit and eat that. But I’ve been trying eg beans and toast fingers, fish fingers and veg, scrambled egg, pancakes, little sandwiches, fruit, and he won’t touch it and won’t let me spoon feed him. Or he’ll pick it up and just drop it over the edge onto the floor.
So, questions: am I doing something wrong? Or,
Will he just get it one day if I keep offering things?

I would just keep offering finger foods, but don’t offer an alternative (fruit pouch) if he doesn’t eat. Offer milk in between meals as usual as much as he wants. I did blw with both of mine so finger foods straight away from 6 months and I’d say it wasn’t until 10 months that they were eating any real quantity of food, so taking several months is very normal.
