I need to buy dishwasher tablets that have a wrapper, not the all-in-one type

A580Hojas · 28/01/2022 13:38

Every dishwasher tablet in my local big Sainsbury's is the all-in-one type but they have clogged my dishwasher twice and the repair man said to get the ones with a wrapper.

Apparently they are old fashioned now!? Anyone know where I can get them?

Aldi cheapest tablets are in a plastic wrapper.

YooCoo · 28/01/2022 13:40

MonsterKidz · 28/01/2022 13:41

I buy Asda range. They have the film
around them.

PatriciaHolm · 28/01/2022 13:42

Ecover classic ones are in a wrapper, and we get them from Waitrose

Nopetryagain · 28/01/2022 13:45

Tescos own brand are in wrappers

SBAM · 28/01/2022 13:55

Ecover are in a wrapper, I get them from Morrisons (& they’re on offer at the minute)

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 28/01/2022 13:59

The finish ones in a box have wrappers. You can sometimes get them in Farmfoods, two boxes of 100 for £15ish

or costco...similar price!

I like the wrapper ones as I cannot bear to touch the tablet, I don't like the feel it leaves.

RonniePickering · 28/01/2022 14:00

FIL has those ones and he shops at Lidl.

TheFairyCaravan · 28/01/2022 14:02

Lidl. They’re the best ones you can get. We make a special trip for them

Those one's you've linked say "dissolving film" on the box?

We get the Co Op own-brand ones. They have a wrapper that you take off before use, and have the advantage of being badged as Cruelty Free/not tested on animals.

MaizeAmaze · 28/01/2022 14:17

Tesco all in one, but showing unavailable right now.
Or Classic Dishwasher Tablets, Pack of 110 Tablets [[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UAF9OSO/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_KC2DARF5B96HJ17CHW22?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforu03-21 finish]] from Amazon when on offer.

MaizeAmaze · 28/01/2022 14:17

finish

MaizeAmaze · 28/01/2022 14:19

Actually, having seen your comment about Dissolving films, forget the tesco option. Finish o es I managed to link to in my middle message should work.

Inspectorslack · 28/01/2022 14:20

Tesco value ones. Lidl normal ones.

Rummikub · 28/01/2022 14:21

Yes those finish ones in a box come in a removable wrapper.
Interesting that about the unwrapped ones clogging your machine. I have a box and will switch back.

Smeds · 28/01/2022 14:22

Magnum classic dishwasher tablets from Lidl.

A580Hojas · 28/01/2022 14:28

Thanks all, very helpful! So they aren't quite as hard to find as I thought ...

It sounds very odd that the soluble wrappers are clogging up your dishwasher though. Are you sure it's heating up the water properly?

decemberrainydays · 28/01/2022 14:31

Waitrose own brand

TheNewGnuKnew · 28/01/2022 14:36

What about finish powder instead of tablets? It is easy to get and does a good job.

comfortablyfrumpy · 28/01/2022 14:40

Ecover.

They have turned out to be the best ones I have ever used, too.

HJ40 · 28/01/2022 15:00

It's nigh on impossible it will be undissolved film from dishwasher tablets clogging up your machine. How often do you clean out your filter and are you sure you never have any bits of cling film or packaging getting in?
