Amazon refund

I bought something from amazon on the 19th but it was cancelled and never arrived, they’ve taken the money but still no refund, I think this is probably the longest I’ve ever waited for a refund! Would you have expected one back by now? I know they say 3-5 working days but refunds usually goes in a lot quicker ime

I would have expected it back by now. My refunds are usually next day with Amazon. Are you a prime customer?

Do a Google search for Amazon UK live help and chat to an agent about it. They'll sort you out with a refund.

Have they refunded to your Amazon account rather than your bank?

Are you sure they charged you? Amazon dont normally rake payment before dispatch.

I was charged by amazon for something that never arrived. I contacted the seller on amazon and they could see the item was lost and they refunded me, but it did take several days.

Yeh they definitely took the money, sorry I should have been clear the item was sent out but apparently damaged. So they never delivered it and sent it back, I don’t think it’s on my account and I do have prime, I will see if I can contact the live chat I forgot about that, thanks.

I had this problem once with Amazon. They shouldn't take payment before dispatch but on this occasion they did but couldn't get stock and cancelled the order.
They kept insisting they hadn't taken payment even though I sent copies of my card statement. EventuallyI had to take it up with my credit card company eventually.

This happened to me - it was showing as returned on my order history and took a good few weeks for the refund to come but it did in the end. It took much longer than actually sending something back though. The Amazon systems seem quite robust for that sort of thing
