Luxaflex duette blinds: worth it?

The title says it all really! I've been totally dazzled by the day and night blinds they showed me at my local curtain shop. The price is... quite high!

Would love to hear from anyone who loves or hates theirs!

I love mine! They go on my bifold doors - I've got the top up and top down ones. Yes expensive but really good quality and excellent sun blocking. Should last years!

I have the same as these and they're wonderful! Money well spent

We bought ours from Thomas Sanderson - fyi... they will always budge on price

You won't regret it I'm sure Smile

I think these are silk deep balsam or something like that. Top and bottom adjustable.

We also have the same upstairs but electric black out blinds. They really are good.

To give an idea - I got 40% so I think each window on the bifolds was around £250. Came in around £1k fitted.

Upstairs was considerably more as it's electric and a shaped window but it was worth every penny.

I also have the duette blinds from a local retailer - they're not the same!

Thanks! The price comparison is very helpful! The local shop is doing a 20% off sale and quoted about £500 per window.

*this is for windows almost two metres wide

Could be reasonable - especially if they're made to measure due to the size of the window. Not sure at that width? Mine are just under 1m wide each.

Shop around and see what comes back. We were surprised with our upstairs window - they knocked 2k off the price!!

Bump! Any views from the daytime crowd?

We've been considering Luxaflette Duette for our kitchen, as they look great in the showroom. However I've soent quite a bit of time looking for customer reviews and feedback on the web, and have become quite concerned at the number of customers who have had the mechanisms fail on them after a couple of years (or in some cases a few months). I’ve seen a similar theme across 2-3 sites where customers have shared their experiences. More than 25% of the Luxaflex reviews on TrustPilot are one-star, for example, with many referring to problems with the robustness or reliability of the strings/mechanism. I understand that they have a 5-year warranty, and there are many positive reviews of the Duettes, but at the moment I’m thinking that they might be too high a risk, given the price level.
Does anyone have any long-term experience of Luxaflex Duette blinds, either positive or negative?

Hmmm …. Reviews you mention are a little concerning. I’m thinking of electric blinds x3 at £2,500. Nothing should go wrong at this price range. Any one had any problems with the electric duet system please?
