I received tickets for the Chelsea show in May for my Christmas present. As a keen but amateur gardener I’m thrilled, but I’ve never been before.
Have you been ? What’s your advice ? I’ve just been sent the restaurant options but there’s nothing there that interests me, what did you do for refreshments ?
Any tips would be great !

There are lots of really lovely food stalls so you don't have to easte time in the restaurants. Lots of show gardens, the large main ones and lots of smaller ones, then lots and lots of lovely trade stalls outside and the huge marquee full of displays.

It's a brilliant day out. Mooch and see things and talk to people who are really passionate about whatever it is they do. The atmosphere is very refined and relaxing.

Went once, years ago. A real mix from lah de dah society to gardeners in just-clean-jeans. Get there early, it gets really busy. Lots of stalls to eat at.

Oh how lovely. I went last year. My tips: go early and beat the crowds, wear comfortable shoes as lots of walking. Take a bag or find the stall with the best free bag as you will probably need it if you did as much shopping as me! The free bus to Victoria is handy. Agree with PP, so many knowledgable people there so do speak to them if you have any questions. Take photos! I just grabbed a coffee and danish while I was there.

Get there early and go straight to the show gardens before they are inundated with people. Wear really comfortable shoes, and take something you can sit on - I have a very lightweight foam pad. I took snacks (but then again, I take snacks everywhere)
