Anyone done a Passport renewal online recently?

Quick question I've completed online part and just need to send docs to passport office. Do I need to or did you include a note or letter.

The reference goes in the address and it doesn't ask to, so assuming just the documents in a "strong envelope" is fine?

Goes against my nature not to send a cover note!

I sent mine special as it had my marriage certificate. Only copy.

Mine has been signed for today.

If you ever need a duplicate marriage certificate from the USA it's easy and very cheap

Yes I did. First class signed for delivery last Monday.

@gogohm I think I'd have to go back to the city hall I got married in? Or can it be done online?

I sent my passport in in a normal,envelope no cover letter, had an email from them yesterday saying they'd received it.

Expect the new blue one will arrive soon.

I forgot it would be blue!

I received my new blue passport last week. Took a week from filling in online and posting off old passport to getting my new one. Was worried as I need it next month and they were saying 4 weeks waiting time but in my case it was a really fast efficient service.

My current situation is that I need my passport and I dont know what to do.
Passport printed and sent 1:20pm on 17 February 2022
Application approved 8:07pm on 16 February 2022
Documents received 2:55pm on 9 February 2022
Application received 5:32pm on 28 January 2022
Application submitted 5:32pm on 28 January 2022

I have received my old one in the post but no sign of my new one. Surely it should be here by now :(((( due to fly Wednesday.

@jojoharvey8 if it's got to that stage could you phone them up and find out if you have a TNT tracking number? Mine said it was being delivered by them and that I'd receive tracking info (but I never did).

I've had two new ones delivered recently and both arrived 2 days after it said it was printed and sent.
