Adult circumcision

DH finds sex very painful because of a very tight foreskin. He is considering circumcision.
Is it awful as an adult?
Anyone have any guidance or recommendations?
Many thanks

Not really painful at all, just uncomfortable. One unexpected consequence though was that when he was going for a "slash" there was virtually no directional control, it was firing off all over the place, it eventually sorted itself out, thank god!

Policy, if they were not too worried I am sure it is fine and maybe the case on here has a different background - the GPs are the experts obviously and pandemic or not I'm sure if it was potentially dangerous they'd have taken action then.

Here’s hoping. They didn’t actually see him though 😱

@Moonmelodies no I changed my username for this thread. Im a very long time lurker and occasional poster over the years.

Thanks everyone. It’s reassuring to hear this is not an uncommon issue, so hopefully medically reasonably straightforward, and possible to achieve long term gain through short term pain…

It was done to me as a baby (parental choice, not for non-religious reasons). Personally, I’m glad that I was done and my fiancée prefers it too. I do know two friends who had it done as adults, both were very nervous before but both found the procedure far less stressful than they ever thought it would be. Both were done at the Thornhill Clinic in Luton.

@jedessine

He can get anesthesia. Apparently it hurts for a second but heals very quickly
Yeah, it hurts for more than a second. More like 3 weeks.

It was opposite for me. Before I was circumcised the urine stream would go everywhere if the foreskin was forward, so I pulled it back and mostly this was better. No problems with the circumcised version.

A very good friend of ours got it done when he converted to Judaism. He's always said it was fairy pain free and straightforward. He had to talk to his GP who then referred him to a urologist.

But that's just voluntarily mutilating his own genitalia - as far as I'm concerned that's the most awful thing. Religion is a choice, but feeling pressured into mutilating your own genitalia, I can't imagine it.
