I was never a big Meatloaf fan but even I can appreciate how beautiful this is

That’s really good OP.

FartNRoses · 23/01/2022 19:26

I’m also not a fan but that’s amazing!

Crunchymum · 23/01/2022 19:30

I am a fan, what a wonderful tribute.

It’s beautiful isn’t it. Some people have real talent

Absolutely beautiful. Will your local press pick up on that OP? We have just introduced a sort of community street art wall and it's good but nothing like that.

Soubriquet · 23/01/2022 19:36

More than likely. I say local but it’s actually the nearest city to me so would be a different paper, but this person often does these sort of tributes in an incredibly tasteful way

Is that Peterborough ? There was a similar one I saw .. can't for the life of me think which musician it was now though! They're amazing!

OneMoreTimeThen · 23/01/2022 19:41

Keith Flint! I remembered!

Soubriquet · 23/01/2022 19:44

Yes it was Peterborough Grin

Here is the Keith Flint one.
Did Nathan Murdock do the Meat Loaf one too?
Do they stay up or are they are on a graffiti wall that all artists share so will get painted over often?

GoodnightGrandma · 23/01/2022 20:23

I am a fan, and it’s great.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/01/2022 20:35

I like Meatloaf, but I don't like that artwork.

Fatherliamdeliverance · 23/01/2022 21:08

I love that and the Keith one. Really brightening urban areas, paying tribute to much loved artists and a lot of skill involved

ruabon23 · 23/01/2022 21:20

Thank you OP for posting this, it is beautiful.

May Mr Aday rest in peace.

MrsGinnyM · 23/01/2022 21:24

That is perfect as a tribute to Meat Loaf.

MrsGinnyM · 23/01/2022 21:25

PS Meat Loaf - two words, not one. It was very important to him.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 23/01/2022 21:28

Love that. Loved Meat Loaf.

WhenTheDragonsCame · 23/01/2022 22:25

It's fab. You get a real sense of him looking at it.

I saw a bit of a interview he did and he was saying on there that he gets quite annoyed when people write meatloaf as one word. His friends used to call him meat. Apparently when he was born he was very red and his dad had the midwife put meat as his name on the crib and it stuck. Then at school he stood on the sports coaches foot who got angry and told him he was like a big lump of meat loaf.

I played the bat out of hell album for my DDs earlier, they were not impressed 🙄 they have no taste!

Soubriquet · 24/01/2022 11:58

No it won’t stay permanently. It will eventually be covered by something new

MrsGinnyM · 24/01/2022 11:59

I'd Do Anything For Love was played by the band at Buckingham Palace this morning as a tribute to Meat Loaf.

Viviennemary · 24/01/2022 12:00

Not keen on this art style.

MrsGinnyM · 24/01/2022 12:07

It's in the perfect style for Meat Loaf though, given his album covers artwork. He also collected Pop Art.
