Thinking of moving to Exeter or nearby. Does anybody have any recommendations of areas. We will not require schools as children are grown.

What is your budget? Do you want to live in Exeter or in surrounding areas?

Probably surrounding areas budget approx £400k

Budleigh, Topsham, Otterton, Ottery, West Hill, all nice areas with easy access to Exeter

Topsham is lovely

Topsham is lovely but expensive. For your budget you would be able to get a 3 bed detached. West Hill and Ottery are also expensive areas

A 3 bed detached is fine as there are just two of us

Would you want to be by the sea? You could try Exmouth or Sidmouth?

We don’t have to be right by the sea. I would look at exmouth

I live 20 miles away. Hate driving there as traffic always a nightmare. Exmouth great though. Miles of beaches nice little shops restaurants etc and trainline goes direct to Exeter city centre.
