I'll try and keep this to the point.
H and I own a house together with around £230,000 left to pay on the mortgage. We have an 8 year old so I work part time and do all child arrangements, school drop off etc, H has his own company and earns double my wage if not more.
This weekend has been the final straw and we are now looking at separating. What happens?
I spent last night looking at local houses to rent, as I wouldn't get a solo mortgage on my wage and houses half the size of mine are more expensive to rent but I couldnt afford my house alone. I know I will have to move out but can anyone advise on where I stand with eligibility for any help, guidance etc?
I know I need to speak to a solicitor which I plan to do next week, but I'd like to get my ducks in a row.
Child maintenance will also come into play I assume?
