Inspired by anither Maccue's thread on here.. yay or nay?

Interested to try it but just wondered what others thought.

Tasty or tasteless?

I found it disappointing and not meaty tasting, quite soft.
Prefer the KFC vegan burger

DCINightingale · 22/01/2022 15:51

Another bonus when I ordered mine yesterday is they apologised for the wait because they cooked the veggie stuff fresh

EishetChayil · 22/01/2022 15:53

I enjoyed it. I've been vegetarian for the best part of 20 years so I've forgotten the taste of real burgers, but I was impressed. Would have it again.

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 22/01/2022 15:55

They nice. Meat sub so not beany. Nice to have another option

DavetheCat2001 · 22/01/2022 18:55

My verdict: I really enjoyed it, as did OH.

No McDonalds and KFC burgers aren't.

Burger king don't cook the chicken or the veggie patty with meat but the beef sub one they do.

What do the vegans think of the 'contains milk' part of the ingredients list?

May contain. It's for people with allergies. Cross contamination warning
Iamsodonewith2020 · 22/01/2022 19:40

So good I had to check
It was definitely the vegan one!

fortheloveofcheesecake · 22/01/2022 19:43

I really liked it. It was actually a meat Macdonald's burger that I had a few months ago that started my ick with meat. No reason, i just couldn't finish it or look at it. Complete veggie now so loving the McPlant!

idontevenknowanyonecalledblurb · 22/01/2022 21:22

I liked it- to be fair though mc Donald's burgers are covered in that much sauce and cheese you can't really taste anything else.

2021mumma · 22/01/2022 21:29

It was good, very meat like, however strange after taste

EmmotionalRescue · 22/01/2022 22:24

Long time vegetarian here, and I tried one out of curiosity. I really did not care for it. I’d prefer the standard fast food veggie burger, or the veggie wrap.

I expect it appeals more to meat eaters?

EdHelpPls · 22/01/2022 22:40

Tried it and thought it needed some sauce ..by reading this it seems like there should have been some! In fact I've just googled it...there was no gherkins in it either. Feeling ripped off now! I'll just go back to the big Mac.

waitingpatientlyforspring · 22/01/2022 22:52

My dd and I shared one today and as a vegi of 30 years I enjoyed it. It had a different flavour for a burger than I'm used to. It was smaller than I expected. DD who has been on and off vegi (goes back to eating chicken then back vegi) for a year and doesn't usually like burgers, enjoyed it.
