Just read this article on the Daily Fail after someone posted it on Facebook.

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-10416511/CLARE-FOGES-logs-Tattle-Life-stunned-vitriol.html?login&login#newcomment

What do you think about this? Some of the comments are interesting lol.

I think the daily mail were just wanting to draw attention to Ashley Cain and the disappearing go fund me money

toppkatz · 21/01/2022 23:07

@Waxonwaxoff0

And to be honest anyone who writes for the Daily Mail has no right to criticise anyone.
Spot on.
DappledThings · 21/01/2022 23:35

There's a long running set of threads on there exposing the various covid denying, freeman on the land grifting that are basically a public service. I read those ones a lot.

PrincessNikla · 21/01/2022 23:45

Holding my breath as I tap in my email address and click 'register', I feel like a minor criminal. Why my sense of shame?

I couldn't get past this twaddle of shite before I wanted to vomit

SantaClawsServiette · 22/01/2022 02:55

Lots of people are just assholes, they don't stop being assholes out of some sort of solidarity, to their sex or any other thing.

Kinneddar · 22/01/2022 03:43

It's amazing the things people on there spot on about influencers & celebs. Usually they're absolutely right & it's not just bitching & tearing people down

The Stacey Solomon one came as a shock to me as I liked her & fell for her act. Reading the thread discussing her content was an eye opener. Just makes you see people for what are.

Love the irony of the DM slagging anyone off 🙄

Sparklingbrook · 22/01/2022 06:42

They may sometimes be ‘spot on’ but the language they use and the venom that comes out you would think some of these slebs had harmed them personally.

Greysofa · 22/01/2022 07:40

I really dislike how influencers roll out the ‘troll’ word if anyone dares to disagree with them or call them out on something that’s factually incorrect. Not disputing that there are people who take things further than that, but not everyone who disagrees with you is a troll.
PTWM preaches ‘be kind’ and ‘if you don’t like it, scroll on’, yet when someone dares question or disagree with her, sets her army of fans on them. Surely that isn’t ‘being kind’

GirlInACountrySong · 22/01/2022 09:47

I think a lot of them scream 'troll' when working with brands as the brands don't want it on their page

Mrs meldrum and Disneyland for example. They were gifted the trip....but told their followers it was a trip for their daughter's birthday, led everyone to believe they had paid themselves. It's all supposed to be clearly marked as an 'AD'

JaneJeffer · 22/01/2022 10:46

I went on there after reading this thread and found someone had mentioned a thread I started on MN but added a lot of things I hadn't said at all and suggested I was a troll Grin

Userguaranteed · 22/01/2022 10:53

I agree women aren't exempt from criticism, exposure, etc just because they're women.

However, the posters on Tattle life are not only unrelentingly vicious, they're offensively vile in the comments they spew, they use their social media buttons as useless weapons (as you'd find in any site with those childish 'like', 'angry', 'upvote/downvote' buttons, etc which is what draws many to them) and are unrestrained in their nastiness towards their subject of the day or anyone they've 'cornered'.

But to be fair, I think this is because the moderation is more lax and free than mumsnet. Mnetters would probably be the same if we're allowed such freedom.

Of course you'll still find humour and lightheartedness in these places, they aren't one-dimensional.

I couldn't last because I found the topics boring and uninteresting. I don't know 98% of the people being discussed (because I don't follow celebs) and I cba to talk about people constantly, as is the theme of the site.

As they say, small minds discuss people.

Userguaranteed · 22/01/2022 11:04

Oh and they lie a lot and twist words...more than I've ever witnessed anywhere else online. You'd be wise to find your own evidence of whatever information you're getting there (as is true anywhere else online anyway). I've never seen people with very little understanding of facts as I witnessed there. Just spewing BS because they have access to a keyboard.
