Boxed wine

How long does it last once opened?

I'm on a diet so don't to open a bottle as I will have to finish it or throw it over the next few days.

I can't seem to find nice wine in little bottles.

But how long will a box last?

Days, weeks, months?

About 2 days in my house.

Seriously, the box of Tesco Shiraz I'm currently drinking says drink within 6 weeks of opening.

I haven't found any white that is still good for more than a couple of days (in bottles that is) but I often have an open bottle (screw cap) for 5 or 6 days and it is at least as nice if not nicer.

I've only tried the red but it lasts for weeks. The bag just shrinks down inside the box. It's air that causes wine to go off/ taste funny.

DH has a box of rose in the fridge. It has 3 bottles worth contents and lasts him up to 3 wks. I've just checked the box and it says 6 wks once opened on it.
Quality-wise, it tastes the same as a bottle to me, the beer drinker Smile
I know Morrisons and Asda (pos Aldi, but not been there for ages) do some smaller "pouches" which have 2 bottles worth in...maybe try one of those first and see how you get on?

Weeks and weeks. With a bottle, once opened, air gets in. This doesn’t happen with the bag in a box.

We've got one in the fridge and it says 6 weeks after opening.

I found a bag of wine in M&S, 2 bottles worth. So I shall give that a go and hope I don't just drink it every day!
