What to do with books

Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do with a load of children's books? Charity shops won't take books as they are swamped with them, I have put them up for free on Facebook but no takers and it feels wrong to bin books.

They're mostly in decent condition, some like new and some first editions or ones that are out of print so I don't want to just chuck them but not sure where else they might be wanted. Any suggestions.

Take a photo of them - to show they’re in good condition and not years and years old.

(If they are older than 2000s stop now)

Email to local primary school and offer to donate to the library.

Wait for reply.

Or. Put outside your house on a sunny day with a sign saying ‘Free Books!’

There is a big recycling bank for books at my local tip, it will say on the website of yours whether they take books. Worth a go.

I would be so excited if I came across a random box of free books!
