Portion control freezing solutions

Hi...I'm going whole hog on meal planning and portion control but have no idea how to divvy up the food into correct portion for freezing. What do people use? Tupperware? Bags? Please help, I need to get this right!

I reuse the plastic containers from takeaways as they're about the right size and stack nicely in the freezer. I think you can buy them from Home Bargains and similar, but we always have enough available for what we need.

We just use Sainsburys freezer bags. If you put them inside a jug you can pour bolognese etc into them. You can write the date on them and get the air out before sealing.

We went right off containers after seeing the layer of frost that manages to sneak inside.

The gold standard is vacuum sealing then freezing. We did pickup a unit from Lidl for £25 a while back. But then decided that really stuff shouldn't be kept for more than 3 months - 6 at max.

We use a mix of tubs and freezer bags

We use both depending what we're freezing but mostly small bags.

Ah fab. Thanks for all the advice. Are the freezer bags reusable? I'm quite keen to reduce household waste too. Thanks!

I moved away from bags to reduce single use plastic. I know you can wash them out, but I freeze raw meat split into meal sized portions and the bags never seemed to be clean plus it was too much effort.

Oh OK. Thanks. So what do you use now?
