How can I sort this?

My DS is going to high school in September.

A child at the high school he'll probably go to had been bullying him at his swimming lesson. We've changed his lessons to a later session, but he tells me this morning that the child hangs around making threatening gestures as he leaves the pool.

The pool couldn't offer anything except changing swimming lesson at the time.

I'm wondering if I should contact the high school (this child will be in year 9 next year) as I'm concerned that the bullying may continue (& get worse) at school next year.

Any advice please?

What have you personally done to tackle the kid hanging outside the pool?

Have you spoken to his parents?

What instigated the bullying?

Yes of course you should tell the upcoming school about the situation. Why wouldn’t you?

Child's parents aren't at the pool. He takes himself there and back.

We reported the bullying (child was kicking in the pool, shoving my DS against the wall in the changing rooms, name calling) when DS told us about it. Staff tried to find child, but he'd gone & we didn't know his name (there are multiple lessons going on at the same time). So we moved his lesson to the next session.

I'm questioning it as:
A - it's happening outside school hours
B - it's not definite that my child will be going to that school (although likely)
