Best nipple covers/pasties for backless dress?!

Help. I have an upcoming occasion where I'll be wearing a backless dress. Small boobs so I don't need the support of a bra, but the nips are very noticeable. I don't want a stick on bra.

Has anyone found decent stick on nipple covers that don't fall off/shift about/peel in at the side?

Ummmmm... could you fashion some with some breast feeding pads and tit tape?

Panty liner repurposed?

Not sure mumsnet is the target audience for nipple pasty recommendations. My first thought was you could get some from Seasalt Cornwall. Everyone loves a Cornish Pasty Grin

As a vegetarian I would opt for a cheese one over each boob.
If the food served is crap you will be fine op!!

Yes! @Santahasjoinedww

mini babybel chopped in half width wise
Or edam slices

Sorry I misunderstood but I still think processed cheese has a place in nipple camouflage

Duoderm hydrocolloid dressing from a pharmacy. Cut it to shape

Santahasjoinedww · 19/01/2022 19:02

Salad dressing is much nicer..

Fabric plasters have never failed me.

I've never found any pasties that I was 100% satisfied with but fabric plasters do the job and stay in place. The only downside is they can be a bit painful to remove, but peeling them off in the shower usually helps with that.

Peeling off a pasty and eating it is much better!! More satisfying ime!!

On a dog walk one summer with my daughter wearing a beautiful summer top, I stopped and picked up a tissue like flower and remarked how pretty it was and my daughter who was walking ahead said it was hers and had fallen off.

I had no idea what she meant and when she told me I shrieked and all of us were laughing! (Has to be there, I guess!)

In my day in the 1970s we didn’t have these kind of things and just wore backless tops and dresses au naturelle!

I would go au naturelle but this event is my own wedding and although I have small boobs I have quite prominent nipples Grin

I don't want to be upstaged on the day/in photos by my own nips. And I don't want to embarrass my Dad!

Duct tape or parcel tape - but shower to get it off afterwards. Don't go spending heaps of money on generic nipple covers, you'll bet ripped off. Even if you don't need the support, I'd still opt for a backless bra though, much less uncomfortable. Gossard do a lovely one and you can also get a strap thing from Bravissimo to convert an ordinary bra into a backless one.

draramallama · 19/01/2022 19:54

Duct tape?! Shock

yorkshireteaspoonie · 19/01/2022 20:02

I've had this type for years. Go for the flower shape silicone ones over the simple round ones) they are washable and reusable. ASOS has tons for just a few pounds each

Thanks all, I'll have a look.

Peeling fabric plasters off sounds painful!

Also cursed with small boobs and prominent nipples when the mercury drops below 20c (which is pretty much all the time in Scotland 🙄)
I got a beautiful sternum tattoo during winter but couldn't wear a bra for weeks so the nips were an issue..... regular plasters worked fine but I used two on each nipple crossed over each other in a + shape. Came off a lot less painfully than fabric ones Blush

Bringmeadog · 19/01/2022 21:17

Free the nipple, people!! Nobody dies if the outline is seen!

I honestly never wear bras, I'm generally ok with them being free. But I don't want to look back at my wedding photos and see my prominent nipples in every photo.

I have seen the nipple covers/plasters? Not sure what they are called in superdrug and H&M. Have you looked for stick on bra's? Or would that not work with your dress? I am sure m&s had some.
I would avoid duct tape and plasters 😲.

Sahara58 · 06/08/2022 13:25

Does it show? Small boobs, want to leave my bras behind when I go on holiday this year but I don’t want anything showing.

Sahara58 · 06/08/2022 13:26

Great question! Just exactly what I want to know too.
