Anyone know about Neff ovens and the WiFi settings?

Can anyone help me with an issue with my Neff oven?

It has an option to connect to WiFi via the home connect app, which is great as you can start the oven remotely.

I had a modem change a while ago so the WiFi connection dropped, and as I was working from home etc I didn't need to set it up again, but now it would be really helpful to have it working again.

The oven display shows a WiFi symbol with a cross through it, and the manual says to set it up to work remotely, you need to turn the dial to the remote setting until you get to the right HC code and then it will talk to your app, but when I turn it to the remote setting, I just get HC OFF and it won't let me amend it.

It's very frustrating!

I have searched the manual and tried googling and can't find a mention of this code or how to solve it.

I am hoping someone on here might have had this and know how to solve it.

No idea sorry but it sounds as painful as my wireless printer!

It really is! I know it's a first world problem, but it's so useful when it works

Did you resolve it as I have this?
Had new modems twice managed to reset one the first time but couldn’t do the other.
Can’t remember how I did it 😬

Start the pairing process in the app, you may need to delete the oven in the app first. On the oven press the i and the > button next to it, together u til the display changes. Then press the < button until Hc01 appears and it should start connecting to the app

Hi. I had the same issue. Perhaps you have found the solution, but since your post pops up top of a Google search on "HC OFF", I thought I'd post for others with this problem.

Essentially you have to wipe the previous settings from the oven ie wipe the old router's sign-on details. Once this is done you can connect the new router.

To wipe the old settings (may be slightly for your particular oven):

  1. Get into the ovens settings menu by pressing and holding the "i" button for 4 seconds
  2. Use ovens < > selector and temperature controller, to get "C 13 1" displayed. This is the setting to wipe the router settings
  3. Confirm the wiping by pressing and holding the "i" button again for 4 seconds

Now you can connect the oven and the new router in the same way as you did with the original router.
