We have a four bed house, and want to make some changes to the downstairs layout- we're looking at an extension, knocking an internal wall down, moving the kitchen; and also looking at adding a bedroom upstairs. We have absolutely no idea if the ideas we have are even feasible. When we've looked at getting an architect, they seem to draw up plans for things you've already decided you want- but really we want to discuss our options as we have a few ideas of how we could change the layout, but could do with some advice about what would work and what wouldn't (or would love someone with a better ability to picture things than us who could tell us what would work!) Is an architect the best port of call? Or if not, how do we go about it all?! Thanks for any advice!
