I just left a friends about a 20 minute walk from mine. There is a pretty direct bus. Walking past I saw the bus was 6 minutes away so decided to wait for it. In the six minutes I was waiting for the bus, one man walked past and told me I was "bonne" which is a literal translation of good but has sexual connotations, one guy drove past on a scooter then doubled back and honked et me, then another guy arrived and started talking to me and asked if I was married, told me he loved me, I told him to leave me alone and the bus arrived, I got on the bus then he got on the bus. At my stop I spoke to the driver and asked him to open the front door because I didn't want the guy following me. He did, but then the guy got out of the back doors and once the bus drove off started asking me if I would go to diner with him (past midnight here ). I said no and he started insulting me and saying he hadn't said he wanted to make love to me (beurk) only to take me to dinner and why was I being such a bitch. We were very close to my front door and I didn't want him seeing my building so I ending up walking (with him following me and me telling him to leave me alone) about 5 minutes in another direction till I could dip into an all night supermarket - he was still following me - luckily the one of the two shop security guys recognized I had just come in to get rid of the guy and managed to send him packing. I've just got back home after waiting 10 minutes in the shop to make sure the coast was clear.
Im just so fed up - I've been in the city since I was 18 and sometimes I think things are getting better - I have a quiet few years with no issues - and then it happens again.
I'm just so angry. The time of day or place, or way I'm dressed make no difference.
Just wanted to rant. How dare they.
