How many times do you ask/tell your teen to get out if bed for school?

One of my dc gets up more or less ok. The other one who has asd I can ask/ tell over 8 times and will not get up. Said teen mistakenly believes she should not have to do anything she does not want to do.

Which one is the more general?

Getting up after being asked once or twice or a battle every morning.

I wake DS (16) in the morning for school. I then shout up about 10 minutes later as I am going out of the door to work.
He has never been later for school so far and he is now in yr12.
I think leaving them to it (and letting them face the natural consequences of potentially being late) is the best way to teach them. And it lowers your stress levels too.
