Getting home after laser eye surgery

Anyone who has had laser eye surgery - were you (or would you have been able to) get a train home alone after surgery? Or do you need someone with you afterwards?

I'm going through Optical Express

Yes, as previous poster said, sunglasses are really helpful, I wore a very light tinted pair even in the house for a while.
