Where would you go?

Ok so I’ve been told to pick somewhere for a night away so looking to you lovely people for recommendations.

Will be travelling from Manchester so literally could go anywhere near enough but with it only being a night away I don’t want somewhere that’s a million miles away. Will be getting the train.

Anyone have any fun/interesting/nice places they could recommend.

@Shapiro Randy pike looks lovely however it’s not available the dates I need unfortunately

@iklboo I wouldnt mind the long train journey but only having just the one night away it’d be good if it was somewhere a bit closer 🙂 York is nice though been there before.

Was just going to say Chester as well or how about Llandudno?

I think Edinburgh is too far or for just one night, it's 3.5 hours on the train, at least 4.5 if you drive so there's half a day each way lost to travel and you really need 2-3 full days to do a decent amount of sightseeing.
I'd go to the Lake District or York.
