Anyone else using the Olio recycling app?

A friend suggested this app a few weeks ago when we were talking about environmental habits and I was saying how I need to start tackling my hoarder habits.

It's free and built for people who are aiming for zero waste. You can share all sorts including food or toiletries or just anything you don't use yourself.

I've been on it for a week and shared so many things that have been cluttering our home, it's been brilliant! So I thought I'd give it a shout out and also see if anyone else has been using it lately?

I love Olio. I'm an Olio Food Waste Hero so I collect food from Tesco to give away on Olio. Anything not given away by the use-by date is given to my pets or the local animal sanctuary. I also get to keep 10% myself.
I also request food from other people on Olio - I always check to see if what I need is on there before going to the shop!
If anyone's interested in collecting food there are just a few short training videos to watch and you can opt out at any time or just do the odd collection (some areas have Bookers, Costa, Pret etc too).
I'm making it sound like I work for them but I just hate food waste!

I love it! I've had no time wasters but it's easy to report them if I do.

The amount of free food being distributed after Christmas was amazing. I've taken advantage of the giveaways a couple of times but mostly I give stuff away. Listing is way quicker and easier than marketplace and I leave stuff out on my doorstep for ppl to collect.

I'm on a mission to own less stuff, so I'm giving away at least an item a week on Olio at the moment.

I'm only giving good quality items that'd go for £10-20 on eBay, but it saves me the hassle of posting them, and ensures that someone who will actually enjoy them benefits form them.

Next up (and these may not sell for much on eBay) my wide selection of vintage Paprika tins from around Europe.

I list stuff and it’s fun. People pick it up and it’s kept out of landfill!

I only joined a couple of weeks ago and after an initial good first giveaway I have had a no show who messed me about and didn't reply, no further interest in my items and have realised its a bit of a tumbleweed zone around here, no I don't want to drive 7 miles for an out of date iceberg lettuce.
