I’m thinking of doing a course, just wanted to know how you found the online learning with this particular learning site.

Many Thanks

I did a life coaching course, sadly I did not pass, but Greg over at British London did me certificate anyway.

I looked into it but ended up going with Open Uni for the certificate of higher education

Thank you @Feather12 and @elelel for tour replies. That’s helpful to know. The course I’m looking at is the candle making as it cover a fair bit I thought.

Hi there. I know it was a long time ago but I saw your post about doing an online candle making with the Centre of Excellence and I wondered if you went ahead with it, and if so what you thought of it? I’m thinking of doing a sewing course but don’t want to waste my money if it’s no good.

It's a total waste of money. All they teach you is the basics and they don't do that very well.
You would be far better joining the British Candle Makers Federation and some of the UK candle making groups on Facebook where you could find someone to mentor you.
Taking the wick is a good group with some experienced makers who are very helpful

Thank you @Flopsythebunny for your reply. I did have my reservations. I’ve been so busy not got round to doing a course yet but I will look on FB and at local workshops in the London area. I’ve heard of a few. Thanks again!

@Elaine600217 I did not go ahead but will look at local workshops to me.
Im also interested in sewing and have been recently looking at courses. Where in live there is a haberdashery shop and they run lots of courses; beginners sewing, making hats, bags, dresses etc…
Maybe look at local shops to you. They tend to have space at the back and run classes in the evenings /weekends!
Good luck with the sewing 👍

Thanks for your reply - I appreciate that. Good idea, I will have a look locally too. Good luck with yours. It’s great to have a project to focus on 😀
