IMPORTANT STUFF… What washing up liquid dispenser do you use?

Hi all, I have a new kitchen and my husband has just bought the biggest plastic bottle of fairy liquid ever and it looks bloody awful. What do you use to store washing up liquid if you’re a ponce like me

Oh no I think I saw that on Amazon but couldn’t quite work out what was going on. Have you got a link

I had no idea there was such a thing. I just keep the bottle on the windowsill in front of the sink!! It's never occurred to me that it was a problem to have a "shitty" bottle showing.... but if it bothers you that much, just decant it into a glass bottle or something more aesthetically pleasing!!

fernyflax · 08/01/2022 12:39

I do this with bathroom soap rather than washing up liquid but only because I never got round to doing it. I have these from NOTHS.

I've just found Amber Glass Bottle With Brass Pump 480ml.
This vintage style pump action bottle can be filled with soap, washing up liquid or even hair products..
£8.75

Keep the fairy liquid in the cupboard under the sink?

@LucyFox

Keep the fairy liquid in the cupboard under the sink?
No because my family are lazy Sods

This one from IKEA £2.
I have a minor fixation with opaque soap dispensers because I’m always wondering (—while sitting on the lav—) when and how much I should refill the transparent ones.

Cut glass bottles of WUL are very “Martha Stewart” IMO.

LavenderAskew · 08/01/2022 12:47

If they are lazy sods they will they even take it out to do washing up?

Lol Lav. Luckily they’re not here full time

Mine goes under the sink. Surely dispensers are a bit naff?

Crinkle77 · 08/01/2022 12:52

Good lord people really worry about this kind of stuff? Just stick it in the cupboard under the sink if you don't like looking at it.

GenialHarryGr0ut · 08/01/2022 12:52

@Ohmycron
Just had a look and I don't think they do it anymore.
It is similar to this one

userxx · 08/01/2022 12:53

@minipie

We have one that is built into the worksurface like this
Genius!!! I need one of those.
Llareggub · 08/01/2022 12:54

I feel your pain. My sons don’t even shut cupboard doors never mind put bottles away.

SilverRingahBells · 08/01/2022 13:02

Damn you OP. Now I want a nice (transparent) dispenser for my Fairy Liquid, despite the fact that the rest of the house is a total tip, so these tiny embellishments are completely pointless.

eddiemairswife · 08/01/2022 13:04

I keep my Fairy Liquid next to the taps.

StCharlotte · 08/01/2022 13:11

Does anyone remember the hugely enjoyable stunt washing up station thread? Grin

Riapia · 08/01/2022 13:20

I pour my Lidl liquid into a Fairy bottle.
I thought having a Fairy bottle on show was more upmarket.
I learn so much on MN.

NotVictorianHonestly · 08/01/2022 13:21

I'm currently eyeing up this beauty

Sparklingbrook · 08/01/2022 13:23

I keep my WUL in the cupboard under the sink. We have a dishwasher and wash up very rarely so it lives there and seems quite happy chatting to the Finish dishwasher tablets. And yes at the moment it's Fairy. Grin

mafted · 08/01/2022 13:33

I've got this Joseph joseph one but it's annoying because it's attached to the base, so I just put soap in it now.
I bought some Mrs Meyers WUL, the bottle is quite nice so I've been refilling that.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 08/01/2022 13:34

@Ohmycron

Don’t you wash up frying pans and large wine glasses
My DW takes wine glasses in the bottom drawer. Frying pan goes in the DW too. It’s a Miele so I’d expect it to cope.
Ohmycron · 08/01/2022 13:36

No I mean the pan.
