This is absolutely beautiful, anyone got a spare £2.75m I can have?

The picture window is incredible as are the grounds

Actually reading the blurb its reallyreally old in parts whatever it is its gorgeous

DobbyTheHouseElk · 06/01/2022 20:06

I don’t like it. Looks cold and draughty. Those radiators don’t look up to the job. High ceilings too and all that exposed stone to snag my cardi on…

Don’t like the silly staircases either.

AcceptCookies · 06/01/2022 20:07

That's my ideal lifestyle. But champagne tastes... and all that. And it does look like it would be rather cold... (currently freezing in my relatively modern mid-terrace rental). But of course, if I could afford that house, I'd also wear incredibly luxurious warm clothing, and be able to crank the heating (or stoke the fires, or whatever rich people do), rather than shiver my way to the thermostat in my vinted dressing gown to nudge the heating up by half a degree.

Ho hum! I'll add it to my wish list Grin

.....checks lottery tickets.....

@Soffit

I love the elevated position and the gardens. I could not get along with the interior though
Yes it’s very oddly done out. Trying to be like a cottage, and none of the furniture goes with the scale of the house. I’m not far from Freshford, it’sa beautiful area.
ShirleyBadass · 06/01/2022 20:13

Really nice location too.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 06/01/2022 20:17

Views are great, but I bet it’s a steep climb from the town. Don’t care for the interior, particularly those beams.

VenusClapTrap · 06/01/2022 20:19

Yeah, that’d do me.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 06/01/2022 20:23

Too big for me. I'm not a homebody though, my house is literally just somewhere to sleep for me. I would genuinely live in a bedsit if I didn't have a child.

Pavlova31 · 06/01/2022 20:26

Nice property but think it would cost a fortune to heat .
Surprised that there are so few interior photos and as someone wondered up thread I also wonder if that is covering up potentially poor conditions.
If grade 2 listed any renovations would be extremely expensive.

Totalwasteofpaper · 06/01/2022 20:31

Just a stunner... that garden is to die for....

pastypirate · 06/01/2022 20:35

It's lovely - can't bear the frilly pelmets though

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/01/2022 20:37

Only 235k stamp duty. What a steal!

Matbest · 06/01/2022 20:38

I only need 3 of the bedrooms - anyone up for twosies?

StormyCornishSeas · 06/01/2022 20:40

I'll chip in a couple of quid. Don't mind bunking in the coach house. The house is absolutely gorgeous think only thing I would change are some of the curtains and even then I wouldn't mind waiting till I'd saved up enough to do them.

FindingMeno · 06/01/2022 20:42

There's aspects that are beautiful but I have no ambition to live somewhere where I couldn't look after it myself.
Way too big.

StormyCornishSeas · 06/01/2022 20:44

Loudestcat14 did wonder if that Scottish castle was owned by a pop star. It sort of screams more pop star than anything else

Magnited · 06/01/2022 20:47

It must have a fabulous history attached to it. Famous people for sure will have stayed there.
