I sweat a lot and very easily-I need to change tops minimum 3 times a day. I’m drenched in sweat, my hair, my face, my back, my chest, everything get drenched in sweat :( I saw my gp and had tests done and everything is normal. Is there anything I can do to help ? I’m very embarrassed

Have you tried this Salt of the Earth spray? It worked for someone I know. www.hollandandbarrett.ie/shop/product/salt-of-the-earth-spray-deodorant-60083398

I used to sweat a lot and although there will be very little research on this (there is some!) I changed my diet completely and removed all processed foods and particuarly refined carbohydrates.

I have never had a sweating incident since. I didn't change my diet for this reason but it was an unexpected side effect. Many other anecdotal stories of this happening. If I have a day off the wagon onto refined carbs, it almost instanteously comes back.

Anyway, my hypothesis is that diet plays a big role in this.

@Soontobe60

Prince Andrew’s your man to ask - apparently he no longer sweats!
My thoughts exactly!

RichTeaCheddars · 07/01/2022 16:37

That's great!! Did you NHS GP prescribe that? Or did you have to go privately?

maddy68 · 07/01/2022 16:40

My brother has this. He has regular Botox injections into various "sweaty " bits. It's changed his life

heidbuttsupper · 08/01/2022 08:41

@Beaconoflight that is great news! Did you get to see your GP or over the phone? I am going to ring mine on Monday Smile

llansanan · 08/01/2022 09:22

Hope it all works for you OP.

BigValue · 15/01/2022 17:24

Brilliant. Hope it works for you. To the person who asked, you can get it from an NHS doc.

Beaconoflight · 15/01/2022 21:12

So it has been 8 days and I struggled with the side effects, tiredness, blurred vision but I think the sweating is getting a bit better.

RichTeaCheddars · 17/01/2022 19:18

Hope the side effects ease off and the sweating continues to improve.

As well as driclor, odaban is good. It's a spray so I find it goes on a little lighter and it says it's for the whole body not just underarms.

Moomoo75 · 17/01/2022 20:42

Hi Odaban is a spray that you can use on your face. Spray it onto a cotton pad and wipe your face and neck b4 bed. Its v good. However it does cause your skin to tingle for a bit. Wash face as normal in the morning. I get it online through boots chemist.

RichTeaCheddars · 17/01/2022 22:37

Patting a bit of talc on afterwards helps lessen the tingle a little I find

Moomoo75 · 18/01/2022 10:56

Thanks RichTeaCheddars I'll try that.

lborgia · 18/01/2022 13:00

Hi OP, this is very weird coincidence, I saw Greg Davis talking about this today on a Graham Norton episode.

He was talking about the wipes the make up artist uses before doing his TV make up, and so I googled!

Google anti perspiration wipes?

Good luck, hope the drugs help, and if not, start googling!

It works !!!!! I’m now on 10 mg of Oxybutynin a day and it works. This morning, I did some cleaning and I was quite physical: my forehead was a bit damp but the rest was dry ! My hair was dry, my back was dry too !! So happy !!!
