How do you get stuff out from under your sofa?

Just as per the title... Two toddlers in the house, loads of little toys, hair bands etc. What's your go to method (so that I don't kill my new robot vacuum)? On your tummy reaching? Long stick? ...?

Long nozzle on the hoover with a sock over the top so it can't get sucked in.

Works like a charm with the never ending supply of Lego from the grandkids under ours......

@Alsoden

Ok thanks everyone since I don't have the tip it over/move it option I'll just get the broom out. Just wondered if anyone had invented anything more useful/guaranteed to get every last bit in one sweep!? Like that OXO thing attached to a broom for length? Hate when those little bastard bits evade the broom. And it's so dusty under there the robot definitely needs to have a go
Did you look at the dimensions? It’s 84cm long.

Move sofa

DS's lightsabre. It's the perfect length and collapses into itself for storage.

The sofa clearing force is strong with us @Mundra Wink

I’ve got a walking stick - just in case I ever need one and very useful for retrieving toys.

gunnersgold · 09/01/2022 18:55

Surely just move the sofa ? 🤔 am I super woman?

Sparklingbrook · 09/01/2022 19:04

Snooker cue. And the cat likes to help with the peering underneath.

LashesZ · 09/01/2022 19:08

My robotic hoover swiffs it all out with his little fins. He comes out pushing the most random collection like baubles, lol doll bits and bobs and chocolate wrappers.

Keladrythesaviour · 09/01/2022 19:26

I let the robot vacuum collect them. Only thing is he tends to hump the laptop we slide under the sofa and gets a bit stuck, but apart from that he either cleans around things or pushes them out on his way.

I do it Madonna-style.
