I love Nigella but agree with mybalconyiscracking - she didn't do the mugging to the camera in her early series and tbh the gurning puts me off. She's obviously been told to ham up the 'sexy' over the years and it gets more over the top and annoying with every series.

It's irritating but she's a smart woman and is basically making a killing out of parodying the media version of herself. The black washing up gloves were the epitome of it.

I like Nigella but I realise that the Nigella we see on TV is a media creation. She's basically an actress playing a very popular and lucrative role. I'm sure the 'real' Nigella is totally different.

I don’t even like cooking and I think she’s great. I love her on Twitter. People send her pictures of food they’ve made and she replies to them all.

I love her recipes but I find Nigella too annoying to watch, with all the flirting to camera etc.
