As a bloke, I can tell you that he probably has noticed.

He just doesn't see the point in rising to all the weird games and non verbal communication stuff that women in general seem to enjoy.

My wife and I have these conversations all the time, she'll do something (like putting the presents under the tree early), then comment that I've not said anything, despite saying anything being largely irrelevant till christmas day.....

What's he supposed to say - 'there's some presents under the tree' ? It's obvious who put them there, it's superfluous to say or do anything about it at all.....

Haha. I believe this to be true with my husband. I make a big deal out of things. He doesn't.

A while back dh commented on a particular ornament on the fireplace saying he liked it and was it new. I didn't say anything, just got my phone out and showed him a picture of ds taken standing in front of said ornament.

What did you expect him to say? Presents go under the tree, it's not something to remark on really.
